Remember I said yesterday that by the end of the week we'd be able to see the marsh from our living room? I was wrong. We could see it by the end of the day.
The clearing ended right behind out house.
Apparently what they do is clear out all the underbrush, and smaller trees with the CAT, then come back in with chainsaws and remove the larger trees individually.
So the area near Tanglewood where they started is now nearly treeless.
The area behind us still has a lot of large trees waiting to be removed, but they have removed enough undergrowth that we can see the golf carts on the 18th fairway on the opposite side of the forest.
