It looks like the repairs to sinkhole on the causeway to the 13th green
are nearing completion.
Bruce tells me they fixed the problem of the collapsing dyke, by digging a deep hole behind the old existing pilings, and driving some new ones into the soil behind the old dyke. This lifted enough of the pressure off of the old timbers that the soil could be refilled to its original level. Note however the timbers of old dyke now jut out about four feet past where they originally stood. What can I say ITS ( Its the South).
Yesterday they were working on replacing the stairs to raised grass. Once that is completed, all that will remain is to put down some new sod.
