Hurricane Arthur has passed and we woke up to a beautiful sunny morning We took a stroll on the North end of the Pawleys Island Beach beach. Arthur had been kind to us. It even replenished the north end beach sand that had been eroded away by last winter's storm.. The beach looked lovely in the early morning light.

| Getting ready for the holiday |
There is to be a Fourth of July parade on the island later in the day. Streets, and homes, all along the parade route and on the beach were festooned with Red white and blue decorations. Everything looked so festive and patriotic..
