Central Intelligence Movie Review 6/16

Central Intelligence is good Summer fun. Not in any deep intellectual way, but in the silly, way that the story-line would have us believe that two guys , armed only with a bananas, a mail carts, and ink cartridges, can hold their own against a battalion of CIA agents armed with knives and assault weapons. After the past year's seemly endless release of action films designed to shock us with as much violence and graphic gore as possible, this little bit of slap-stick about two unlikely heroes trying to save the world is very refreshing.

It may not be a deep and complex masterpiece but it is just the sort of classic of classic nonsense that enjoy on a warm summer afternoon. It's the kind of movie that I will watch as a rerun on TV when I want to take a break from doing more important things even if I've seen it ten times, because it's still funny, and because I love the comedic chemistry of Johnson and Hart.
