Visiting with the Neighbors: Little Black Crab, 6 '16

About this time of year small black crabs can be seen swarming all over the mudflats in our local salt marshes. I've counted as many as 100 of them in a single square yard of mud flat. Unfortunately the wee beastees sometimes also invade our house. We are usually alerted to the presence of one by our cat, who starts yowling for us to remove the intruder. Easier said than done. For something so small, they can move remarkably fast and slippery. It took BJ almost 5 minutes to capture this little guy in our kitchen, and relocate him back where he belongs out of doors.
